The Cauldron / Kotel

When Luka and his pregnant wife Eva seek refuge in a remote mountain cabin, he desperately summons the pagan god Leshy. But the power he gains from an ancient cauldron transforms him into the very thing he feared and hated most.

The Cauldron is a short film about a man who, in his search for protection, becomes what he feared most. Luka and his heavily pregnant wife Eva escape to a secluded mountain cabin to flee the Spanish flu and the hatred of villagers who persecute Luka because of his mother’s past. Fear turns into despair, and Luka calls upon the pagan god Leshy, accepting the dark power that comes from an ancient cauldron in exchange for saving his family. When the villagers attack the cabin, something
long buried awakens within him.
