Janez Frančišek Gnidovec is a name now being 'rediscovered', but once a familiar figure to many. Simple, humble, a role model. Faithful in both small and big things. A Slovenian candidate for sainthood in the Catholic Church and a man who traveled extensively on foot: he journeyed across the Balkans, where he spent most of his life working.

The film is guided by journalist Nace, who interviews priest Gnidovec and people from Macedonia who were significantly influenced by him.

The whole world knows Mother Teresa of Calcutta, but few are aware that behind this Missionary of Love stands a great role model, who inspired her decision for missions and serving the poorest of the world: Janez Frančišek Gnidovec, a missionary, bishop in Skopje and Prizren.
