30 Peaks for 30 Years of Independent Slovenia / 30 vrhov za 30 let samostojne Slovenije

The feature documentary about 30 climbs of 30 Slovenian peaks became part of Slovenia’s presentation at the end of its Presidency of the European Union in the second half of 2021. This way the film monument to the Slovenian mountains spoke not only to the Slovenian audience but also to the wider European public.

At a turning point in his life and in the midst of a personal quest, the might of the mountains lures the protagonist into a great challenge. In an attempt to clarify his view of his future, a part of Slovenian history is opened to him amid the unspoiled nature of Slovenian peaks. The challenge which is initially an attempt to prove his own greatness is through exertions transformed into an awareness of the role he plays in his environment and in wider society.
